Here you can view some of my best photos of Lake Bohinj in Slovenia. While seemingly dwarfed in reputation by its more famous neighbour, Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj is in many ways far more magical. It’s a beautiful glacial lake located in Northwest Slovenia. The lake is in a dead-end valley with the jagged peaks of the Julian Alps seemingly hugging its shore. Located in the heart of Triglav National Park, it’s the largest permanent lake in Slovenia. Lake Bohinj has many moods. Therefore, it is a stunning place to photograph in any season and at any time of the day. In this gallery, you can see my photos taken at both sunrise and sunset, in winter snow, glorious spring green and also in fabulous autumn colours.
