In this gallery you can view my best photos of Highcliffe on Sea in the beautiful county of Dorset, Southern England. Highcliffe, as it’s often called for short, is a beautiful area on the eastern end of the Dorset coast. While it’s not actually on the Jurassic Coast, it is equally stunning. Characterised by its namesake, high cliffs, there are award-winning beaches and lovely nature reserves. Also, the views here are outstanding. If you look to the east, you’ll see the Isle of Wight. The lovely chalk cliffs that stretch right out to the famous landmark known as the Needles are in clear view. Whereas, if you look west, and you’ll see right across to Bournemouth Beach.
There are shingle and sandy beaches along with part of the coastline, and also walking paths along the sea and clifftop. Highcliffe’s most popular attraction is the fabulous Highcliffe Castle. You can read more about what there is to see and do on their website here.
