Photos of Losinj Island
Here you can view some of my best photos of Losinj Island in Croatia. At 1777kms long and boasting 1246 islands, the Croatia coast is a spectacle not to be missed. The northernmost part comprises the beautiful Istria Peninsula. Starting at the border with Slovenia, this peninsula separates the Gulf of Trieste and mainland Croatia. The Kvarner Gulf in-between is home to the first set of islands, Krk, Cres and Lošinj.
Most of these pictures were taken at a nice secluded location called Zaosiri Beach near the village of Cunski on Losinj Island. This great little sheltered beach provides wonderful views across to the two little islands of Mali and Veli Osir. A few others were taken on the neighbouring island of Cres, which is connected to Losinj via a short landbridge.
